Chard Fitness and Wellbeing hosts 2 day event focused on all aspects of personal wellness
A new 2 day holistic and wellbeing event is to be held at Chard Fitness and Wellbeing centre this week (Friday 28th and Saturday 29th October)
The holistic and Wellbeing event will be the first of its kind since the pandemic and is a two-day celebration of all aspects of personal wellness; including mediation, mindfulness, yoga, spirituality, and self-improvement.
The event focuses on offering people ways to help improve both their physical and mental wellbeing. Sessions over the two days include Tai Chi, Pilates, Meditation, Hatha and Yin Yoga. As well as talks on Personal Resilience and a workshop and talk on Ayurveda (A 5,000 year-old Indian science that encourages a mindfulness approach to health and wellbeing and a complete healing system that believes in the physical, psychological and spiritual aspects of life.)
The centre has an established Holistic Studio, as part of its facility which caters for a range of wellbeing and fitness classes, as well as a treatment room for beauty therapy and massage. But it is now holding this event to help showcase the different activities on offer at the centre to help people improve both physical and mental wellbeing.
Chard Fitness and Wellbeing Manager – Trish Bishop says ‘These are very difficult moments in UK society. Positive health and wellbeing, strong mental health, enjoyment, and a sense of community belonging are essential to help people survive and thrive in the current environment. At 1610 Chard we wanted to put on an event that would offer people sessions and activities that could not only help both their physical and mental wellbeing but offer techniques and activities that might help build their resilience to face and enjoy the challenges of daily life. ‘
