Due to the growing demand of our Swim Academy, we are looking for Trainee Swim Teachers at Trinity Sport & Leisure, Bridgwater, Somerset.

As a Trainee Swim Teacher, you’ll use all your energy to learn the role and gain a Swim Instructor qualification (Level 1/2), inspiring everyone to move and stay safe in the water.

As part of the training you will learn the following:

  • How to deliver a high level of swimming lessons to peoples of all ages and abilities
  • Use a multi stroke and multi skills approach, following the Swim England criteria
  • Deliver 1-2-1 lessons and group lessons
  • Keep good records of your pupils’ progress

Essential:

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Willingness to learn
  • Be flexible to work evenings and weekends
  • Enjoys working with children of all ages and abilities

Benefits include gaining a nationally recognised qualification as a Swim Teacher and a wide range of various training opportunities and progression routes.

The successful candidate would need to be available to attend Level 1 Swimming Assistant Course.

The successful candidates will be required to complete an enhanced DBS check.

Please note we can only accept applications from candidates who are eligible to work in the UK.

Salary: From £8.06 - £11.44 per hour initially, rising to £11.51 per hour on successful completion of Level 1 Swimming Assistant qualification; then £14.52 per hour on successful completion of Level 2 Swimming Teacher qualification.

Hours: 7 hours per week (hours on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays)
